So I don't actually remember what I last wrote about so i am going to start from surfing in Jeffreys bay. Yes i have officially learned to surf (well i can get up on a board at least) SWEET! Then we left Jeffreys Bay and went to Mdumbi which is this little town in thehills of South Africa. This was an amazing place to spend a few days. the men who run the backpackers there are so amazing and do so much for the community that it almost seems impossible. Then we went to Qunu where we got to see two Nelsen Mandela museums, slide on the rock that Nelson slid on, and hear some AMAZING singers from the townships. It was really an amazing time. Then we had a 12 hour truck ride to Durban where we picked up our good friends Jennifer! On tuesday we drove here to Eshowe where we have been spending the last few days in the hostel attached to The George Hotel. Here we have seen a traditional Zulu healer called a Sangoma and we visited an orphanage where we played with little kids and served them lunch. Everything we do at TTS is completely amazing and it just keeps coming. These last few weeks are sure to be spectacular!
p.s. the parents come today!!! :D

Hey all,
So this is what has been going on since I last wrote. I had 4 days in a homestay. This was a little hard but really fun and interesting at the same time. 2 of those days we worked at a school in hanover park with a program called case. At this school we fixed up a youth room, painting walls, cleaning and organising. That was really fun. We also got to spend an afternoon with 7th grade girls playing some games and giving them empowerment talks. We had them all put their handprint on the wall in the youth room as well. This was a really fun afternoon that got us involved in the community and let us make an impact. Then on monday we got back on the truck and headed towards Tsitsikamma National park. We arrived there on thursday and on friday left for a hike in the mountains. We hiked in with our big packs and then sat. and sun. they were brought to our cabins for us while we hiked 10 miles each day with day packs. This was an awesome opportunity for some fun times and group growth. Now we are in Jeffrey's Bay and tomorrow will be SURFING! So awesome. I am excited to take hold of the weeks that i have left. Love you all and miss you!
