So the first thing I have to tell you about is "Chobe Chuck Fest 2009" We were staying in Chobe and were told the water was ok to drink...WRONG. Friday night 14 of our crew got sick in one night. We ended up having to stay there an extra night to recouperate. But in the end we had some laughs. Next we went to Planet Baobab and got to see those amazingly huge trees. Then we spent a night on the salt pan. This was so amazing. It is so desolate that when you walk away from camp far enough you can here nothing but your breath. No birds, no water, just you and the stars. It is an amazing feeling. Also that night we shared some songs with the drivers and they performed for us as well. That is always really cool. Next we came to maun. After a night there we took a camping trip into the okavango delta. We traveled in Mocoro's (dug out canoe's) that were led by our polers. we even got to try and pole, its really hard. That night we also got to share songs with the polers, they had some pretty funny stuff. Now we are back in Maun doing some classes and will travel to Namibia tomorrow. On Monday we will be in Etoshia. I am having a wonderful time and experiencing every moment to the fullest. Miss you all!

first two weeks
Hey!
The first two weeks in africa have been amazing. We started out with orientation on a houseboat where we got tosee impala, elephant, and kudu. Also on a stopat an island one of the girls gotbit by a monkey :/. But she is ok. Then we were at a camp in Sinazongwe, Zambia fora while. Whiel there we were invited into the village to see a school day and get involved in a tribal dance. This was such an amazing experience, seeing what really goes on there. Now we are in Livingston, Zambia. It is a pretty cool city. Today we got to seeVictoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders. Life is amazing in Africa. I miss you all!!!
